Membership to the AIPI is based on personal application as against a corporate version. We offer the following categories of Membership.
Associate Member - An individual who has not yet been employed within the investigation industry for at least 3 years.
- Must be attending or have a completed a training course recognised by the Membership/or accreditation committee of the institute; or
- Currently employed in an industry or organisation where the principal function involves investigation.
Member - Currently employed in an industry or organisation where the principal function involves investigation and has been so for a minimum of three years; or
- Currently employed in the teaching of or research into aspects of investigation or related field of endeavour for a minimum of three years; and
- Must have attended and qualified at a recognised course or training as determined by the relevant committee or the Institute.
Associate Fellow - Must be a member of the Institute; and
- Currently employed in an industry or organisation where the principal function involves investigation and has been so for a minimum of 10 years; or
- Currently employed in the teaching of or research into aspects of investigation or related field of endeavour for a minimum of ten years; and
- Must have provided service to the Institute by way of service as a state chapter executive member or committee representation for a minimum period of one year.
Fellow - Must be a member of the Institute; and
- Currently employed in an industry or organisation where the principal function involves investigation and has been so for a minimum of 10 years; or
- Currently employed in the teaching of or research into aspects of investigation or related field of endeavour for a minimum of ten years; and
- Must have provided assistance to the Institute by way of service as a state chapter executive or committee representation for a minimum of three years; or
- In the assessment of the National Executive from time to time undertaken meritorious service in the furtherance of the professional investigation industry.
When applying for AIPI Membership, the following fees (incl. GST) will apply:
Application Fee There is a $55.00, non-refundable application fee, which will be invoiced prior to the application being processed.
Annual Membership Fee Annual membership fee currently $200.00 pa is invoiced on 1st July each year for all classes of membership. New members will be charged a pro rata rate based on the quarter in which they join for their initial year. The Associate Membership Fee is $90.00pa.
Specialist Accreditation Designations An application fee is payable for specialist accreditation designations. Annual specialist accreditation fees also apply.
Methods of Payment Payment may be made by BPay, Australia Post Offices, MasterCard/VISA or by cheque made out to AIPI Limited.
