Gold Coast tax professional jailed for stealing almost $200K through false BAS – 28 July 2020

Alana Hodge who managed tax obligations for seven businesses, lodged 47 false Business Activity Statements (BAS) and amendments without her clients’ knowledge. She then tried to obtain around $65,000 in GST refunds.
