WA Department of Communities assistant director general charged over $2.5 million fraud – 15 November 2019
The assistant director general of WA’s Department of Communities (Paul Whyte) and another man has been charged with allegedly stealing more than $2.5 million of public money over 2 years. They raised false invoices and used the money for themselves.
Fake money heavy cost – 14 November 2019
Police have confirmed that up to $2000 worth of counterfeit cash may be circulating in the Biloela and Gladstone area. The bills with Chinese text on them are used by banks to train Chinese bank tellers in Australian currency.

Spies in the skies: WA Police to hit criminals with surveillance drone force – 13 November 2019
The state government will be deploying a new fleet of state-of-the-art aerial drones (ie with thermal imaging technology, High Def recording cameras etc) They will be used in criminal investigations and search and rescue operations.
