Coronavirus outbreak on Ruby Princess claims second US man, family launches $1.6 million lawsuit – 18 April 2020
A family in the US is suing Princess Cruises for more than $1.6 million for “recklessly” failing to alert passengers to the risk of exposure to coronavirus on the Ruby Princess. The ship is now the subject of a police investigation and a separate independent inquiry. The case against Princess Cruises is based on a claim of corporate gross negligence.

Australians report ‘sextortion’ spam campaign 1900 times in past week – 17 April 2020
The Australian Cyber Security Centre has received more than 1900 reports in just one week of a large-scale “sextortion” campaign targeting Australian internet users. Online scammers use limited personal details with the aim of intimidating recipients into paying the ransom.
Protection against cryptocurrency theft – 17 April 2020
SIM spoofing attacks (where a mobile phone number is taken over by an attacker) means that millions of dollars of cryptocurrency and bitcoin wallets can be lost. WebAuthn, is a new W3C open standard for web authentication. It allows traders to add a biometric device or physical security key as an additional authentication method.
