Malicious Bitcoin QR Code Generators Steal $45,000 in March – 3 April 2020
$45000 was stolen by using fake QR code generators over nine websites. Instead of embedding the victim’s Bitcoin address in the QR code, the fake generators embed one of the fraudsters Bitcoin address. Any funds sent to the victim via the QR code would instead be sent to the thieves’ wallet.
